Terms of Service
Last updated [date]
Template — not legal advice. This is a plain-language starting point written for the product as it is built. Replace the bracketed parts with your legal entity’s details and have a lawyer review it before you launch.
These terms are an agreement between [Your Company Legal Name] (“we”, “us”) and the business that creates a JewelPilot workspace (“you”). By creating an account you agree to them.
1. The service
JewelPilot is software for jewellery businesses to manage a design catalog, share it with their own clients, receive orders, take orders at exhibitions and work with designers. We may improve, change or remove features over time.
2. Your account and workspace
- You must give accurate details and keep your login secure. You are responsible for everything done under your workspace’s accounts.
- The person who creates the workspace is its owner and can add and remove team members and choose the plan.
- Each workspace’s data is kept separate from every other workspace.
3. Your content
You own the designs, photos, client details and orders you put into JewelPilot (“your content”). You give us permission to store and process it only to run the service for you, including sending designs to the clients you choose. You promise you have the right to upload it.
4. AI features
Some features send a photo or a question to an AI provider to read design details or answer questions. AI can make mistakes — please check what it fills in. Designer uploads are only read by AI after you approve them.
5. Plans, trial and payment
- New workspaces get a free trial. When it ends you need to choose a plan to keep using the service; your data is kept so you can pick up where you left off.
- Paid plans renew monthly until cancelled. Prices exclude taxes. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we don’t store card numbers.
- If a payment fails we’ll give you a short period to fix it before the workspace is paused.
- You can cancel any time; you keep access to the end of the period you’ve paid for. [Refund policy: describe here.]
6. Acceptable use
Don’t misuse the service: no illegal content, no attempts to break into other workspaces or our systems, no sending spam, and no uploading malware. We may suspend a workspace that breaks these terms or puts others at risk.
7. Your data when you leave
You can download a copy of your data at any time from Billing. If you delete your workspace, we delete your data (except what we must keep by law, and backups, which expire on their normal schedule).
8. Availability and support
We work to keep the service running but can’t promise it will always be available or error-free. Support: [support email].
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
10. Changes, governing law
We may update these terms and will tell you about important changes. These terms are governed by the laws of [country/state], and disputes go to the courts of [city].
